Andrei joined Retro as a Staff Scientist in Computational Biology in March 2023. He holds a PhD in theoretical physics of dynamic systems from the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology and a master’s from Lomonosov Moscow State University. His research since 2013, starting at Gero with Peter Fedichev and continuing at Harvard Medical School with Vadim Gladyshev, has been focusing on understanding the fundamental mechanisms of aging through computational biology, statistical physics, and chaos theory. Now at Retro, Andrei applies his broad expertise to advance aging modeling using computational methods, AI, and machine learning. His goal is to significantly impact human health and longevity with new therapies. Besides science, Andrei enjoys history, good literature, birdwatching and the exploration of various countries, languages and cultures.
