Revathi Sekar

Scientist II

Revathi joins Retro with a desire to extend healthy human lifespan. Prior to joining, Revathi completed postdoctoral research in liver metabolism at Helmholtz Zentrum Munich. There she developed methods to visualize how an endosomal protein regulates glucagon receptor trafficking, and used LNP-delivered siRNAs to demonstrate its role in organismal physiology. Revathi completed her doctoral research in endocrinology at University of Hong Kong, focusing on gut-brain signaling and lipid homeostasis. In total, Revathi’s research has centered around metabolism, a fundamental component of many diseases of aging, and has been published in Cell Metabolism and Journal of Lipid Research. Outside of work, Revathi loves hiking and spending time with family.
