Yessica Martinez, MBA, joined Retro in October 2021 and brings 16 years of research and product development experience specializing in Rare Diseases. She has championed exploratory projects from proof-of-concept to IND-enabling studies, global clinical development strategy, and product portfolio development including varying therapeutic areas, modalities, and stages of development to shape vision and long-term growth.

Ms. Martinez serves as the Autophagy Program Manager encompassing exploratory, pre-clinical, and clinical studies. Prior to joining Retro, she served as a Global Project Manager in Product Portfolio Development and previously as a Senior Research Associate at BioMarin. Yessica received her BS in Cell and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State and MBA from Saint Mary’s College of California.
